K and I finally got our acts together with footprint crafts this Valentine’s Day. The irony is that by the time I am finally ready to do some foot-painting, K is already 5 months and too squirmy to enjoy it!
We did three crafts this time around, but googled a whole bunch more. There really are endless possibilities if you let the creative juices flow! We used cardstock from Michael’s that was leftover from our wedding invitations and this was able to hold it’s own against the acrylic paint. I have used sponges in the past, but I found it just as easy to paint a thin layer onto K’s foot with a paintbrush and then carefully apply that to the card. I had to make sure to push down each part of the foot to make sure there was a good print, and then I painted the additional features on top after the original print had dried!
Have more ideas that you want me to try? Tell me in the comments, and I’ll be sure to give them a try!
These are so cute!! I love the bee one 🙂
Thank you, that one is my favourite as well! 😀
I love this idea! and I thought I’d seen them all…so cute. I’m gonna do this!
Such a cute idea for all the close family members! If you’re going bigger it can get difficult. I only made about 10 cards and by the end of it, I had one fussy baby on my hands!
These are so cute!
Thank you! I keep trying to do footprint cards for each holiday, but as the baby gets bigger the footprinting gets harder (for some odd reason)… LOL
I love this, I am going to have to show this to my daughter
Since Valentine’s Day is quite a ways off, I am going to use these ideas for my daughter to make birthday cards for her aunt & brother this summer! These ideas can be incorporated into many different crafts.
